Service from Temple & Webster was perfect - they have replaced the product from Milkan without any issues and promptly. The actual product from Milkan - the original fire pit cover - was disappointing: the wood has faded, dried and broke within the first 12 months.

Very heavy solid metal frame. Unfortunately the timber hasn’t weathered well. One piece got a little split after about six months outside. I’ve oiled it and will need to do so regularly to keep it looking good. Great idea though. Looks very good over a rusted metal fire pit.

Unfortunately the top of the firepit hasn't weathered well - the wood has split and lifted out of the frame. The pit itself is solid though I don't think it's suited to our smallish seating area - the wide surface area at the top means whatever you're burning has a lot of oxygen to consume and the flames get pretty full on... I'd say only consider if you have a reasonably large area to put it in. I suspect I'll be removing this one.

Unfortunately the boards distort out of shape within a few months. If the metal edge had a lip on it, it should stop this happening. Finish on wood isn’t sturdy enough for outdoor use. Disappointing, as it looked nice on arrival.
