Joints in stand fitted okay and not obvious. Looks good next to easy chair and good height for reading. Cheaper than many similar style standing lamps I assessed. Elegant and suites my decor. Lamp is perfect, true to picture and easy assembly! I did have to google what to do about the cord being too long, to save anyone else doing that search that may have also been clueless, just pull the excess through from underneath the base!
