I ordered this table particularly for the look of the timber top, I bought a different console previously but it looked a bit cheap and blonde whereas this version looked lovely, like a real slab of timber. The image I've attached is the timber I received, which was awful compared to the advertised images and also the other photo in the review here. I thought there was a mistake, and that there was possible water damage. I dealt with T&W (very helpful) who agreed with me that it should be returned. After sending my top piece back and many weeks of waiting for the replacement top, the manufacturer - via T&W - decided I was wrong and there was nothing wrong with the timber and that's what it is supposed to look like. I have read the fine print, I know they say it can vary, but I don't believe this is a quality piece of wood in any way. So unless you are interested in something arriving looking just as per my picture and you'd be happy with that, please don't waste your money.
