The bamboo shaft of the umbrella is not fit for outdoor use and is covered in mould even though the umbrella is in full sun. Because the shaft is textured, it cannot be wiped off. I've had timber market umbrellas before and have never experienced this. For the money it cost, totally unacceptable. Only place for it is the bin.
