The shoe rack is as expected. The problem is that the holes to take the screws are too small. When you use the allen key to tighten the screws it spits the bamboo horizontal supports. I realised this with the first screw. I then drilled out the remaining holes which enabled me to insert the screws without splitting the bamboo.

Looks good, does its job, but one of the slats split in half putting in the screws. You can see it's two separate pieces that have been joined and it has split down the join. Otherwise it's fine.
