T&W Guest Edit - Jen Bishop, Interiors Addict

'Style without the snobbery' is Jen Bishop's mantra, and her Interiors Addict blog is going from strength to strength on the back of it. Subscribe for her weekly email updates, and follow her on Instagram @interiorsaddict to get involved in her super popular "7 Vignettes" monthly styling competitions - she has just announced the themes for May's challenge.

For our first T&W Guest Edit, we asked Jen to choose her favourite T&W products this week and here she tells us more about her personal picks.

Jen, How would you describe your personal style?
Colourful, eclectic, cosy, welcoming, layered and full of personality. I have a lot of stuff, but it's nice stuff and it tells a story, and although it's busy, it's always very tidy. I want people to feel comfortable in my home and to have lots of interesting things to look at! I also really believe your home should say a lot about you. I want people to walk in and think "this is very Jen," but it should probably be a bit more reflective of my long-suffering fiancé Damian too!

Do you and Damian see eye to eye on interiors?
We do, although it's fair to say Damian(pictured above with Jen) doesn't have much say. If he says a definite no to something it doesn't make it in (although this wasn't always the case!). He has good taste but like most couples, we both have different ideas about what looks best. These days I try to keep my choices a bit less feminine and more unisex.

What's your favourite interiors colour scheme?
I'm a huge fan of navy and our main bedroom is navy and white with a few pops of coral. A lot of colours work well with navy, like mint green, fuchsia, yellow or even dove grey or tan.

Warm & welcoming: Jen and Damian's Sydney home.

Has your home changed much since you started blogging about interiors?
When I first started Interiors Addict my home changed all the time. I was constantly inspired by the latest trend or homewares find, or by the work of an interior designer I'd just interviewed. Eventually I realised I had to stop, not just for the sake of my wallet but because you have to find your own style and not be too influenced by trends. That said, I often wish I had a few homes so I could experiment with all the looks I love. I maintain that "when I grow up" my house will be completely different to what it is now. My latest project is my new home office, which is going to be very calm with muted colours.

Jen chose this indigo bedlinen from Aura by Tracie Ellis as part of her Guest Edit.

What was the thinking behind your Guest Edit?
I've used Murchison-Hume at home for years so that was an easy pick for me. I love the packaging, the hand cream is one of the best I've tried and I love that their cleaning products don't have nasty chemicals in them. I'm a sucker for all things pink and navy (it's the colour scheme for my wedding this year) so I thought the Aura bed linen was gorgeous. I love the vintage look of some of the glassware and it's a good investment because it will go with most kitchen and dining ware and I love using jars for fresh flowers around the house.
