I absolutely LOVE this quilt cover. It's very soft, feels beautiful to touch and the colour and texture of the velvet is a wonderful feature in my bedroom. Has held up well in the wash so far.

The velvet quilt cover pulled away at the seam on the first wash. I don’t get to use the cover.

Sadly, I give this quilt cover set 4 stars, as I have to agree with the first reviewers opinion that the material is not as soft as I expected a velvet cover to be. It does have a bit of a scratchy feel to it. The colour is not as pink as the picture, but I like it, as it gives a less over feminine look to a shared bedroom of Husband and Wife. Teamed up with charcoal velvet (which are a lot softer in texture) European pillows, different textured cushions of charcoal, cream and peony printed satin and a faux fur charcoal throw, enhances the whole look. The quilt colour also works in well with the artwork in the room and brings out the colours in pictures of various designs (also bought from Temple and Webster) and other pieces in the room. It makes the bedroom look lovely, welcoming and gives a feeling of cosy warmth which is perfect for this cold weather. I am very happy with the overall look.
