Preston Convertible Single Bunk Bed

Was pretty straightforward to put together other than a few mistakes that we had to undo for "winging" the instructions. I think a few of the other reviews saying it was difficult just have never done many flat pack things before. Looks great, kids love it!

After much deliberation my wife and I bit the bullet and went full commitment and purchased this bed Firstly, delivery? Ridiculously fast so credit to all partners in that regard After unpacking my wife informed me there were no instructions so I found a PDF online and downloaded it (more on this later) After unpacking we moved the packaging outside as there was a lot but in our eyes that is understandable then it was game on My wife helped me as best she could due to injury but with five daughters all coming in and out wanting “to help too” we distracted them picking colours for future bedding as I hunted the once organised screws and bullets that had disappeared. Definitely a solid bed so if your kids are free range like ours at times I definitely suggest this bed as your go to No 1 After a few positional adjustments we have finished the bed side of the equation. Oh in case you were wondering, the screws that had gone AWOL were located in my shoe underneath my bed so we got there. Girls love the bed and we remind them it’s a chill zone regularly to prevent Monkey Magic vibes (look that up perhaps). And it’s all going well thus far. Once you take care of the rubbish make sure you’ve got yourself enough space as there is a lot Oh one last thing before I forget, I found the instructions in one of the boxes once I started the clean up And yes, my wife and I still love each other

I've had it for three years and haven't had any problems. The bottom drawer has a thin bottom board, so it's gradually deforming under the weight.

Good product. Was missing couple of screws though

Comfortable and good space

Great bunks for kids, we have a 5 and 7 yr old boys who are very happy with their new beds. Relatively easy to put together with a bit of muscle and patience. Easy to make into any of the configurations. Highly recommend. Only thing to consider is that it does come in multiple large/heavy boxes with a lot of packaging.

I have brought two sets of these beds and I absolutely love them. Great for my kids. Easy to clean and amazingly simple to put together. We’ve tried it all different options and each way it’s great! Highly recommend

This bed is beautifully designed and certainly attracts a lot of compliments. I’ve given it four stars because, unfortunately, two of the long legs of the frame have cracked within the first year of use. The cracks appeared at the points where the legs bolt into the frame, which has left one of my children needing to sleep with their mattress on the floor. As a suggestion (not reflected in my star rating), it would be a fantastic design improvement if the frame included two sets of shorter legs. That way, the top bunk could also be used as a lowline single bed for greater versatility.

Terrible bed for a toddler, almost dangerous. The top bunk is extremely wobbly. Very disappointing of how much this cost.

Love these bunks! Sturdy bed, but the child railings are a soft wood and could easily break. That said, my 3 year old has been in it (not as a bunk, just a single) for a year and no breakage yet.

Bought this for my children 3 years ago. The beds are sturdy and versatile to be arranged in a number of positions as shown. Slates could be a little bit smoother or sanded as they're visible from the bottom of the top bed but it's not a biggie. The beds are heavy and need a couple of people for assembly. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

Perfect beds for my 9 year and 3 year old.

Besides the bed creeking a lot when you're on it, its really good. I love the look of it, and love the fact that it can go from bunk beds to single beds as well! Highly recommend

Great product. Wish the instructions were larger and more detailed. And wish there was less styrofoam in the package! I have three bags full now. Not good for environment I hope they redesign package to be environmentally friendlier. But product is good

Looks exactly like the picture once built, and found the material quality and fit/finish to be very good. Only drawback is it’s quite time consuming to assemble - you’ll need an assistant, and preferably some proper tools (an impact driver and socket set really speed things up as long as you’re gentle and don’t over tighten). Thankfully the instructions are detailed and fixings are clearly labelled. The top bunk is fairly tall, so if you’re short you might struggle to tuck your kids in. The rails make it a challenge to make the bed, this seems to be the case for all modern bunk beds, but their vertical arrangement at least lets you tuck a sheet in. Overall they look great, are nicely finished and the kids are still excited to hop into bed over two weeks later, and has made moving the kids into one bedroom that bit more fun

Bunks are complex to assemble but we have now used in both the bunk and single bed configurations and they look great and are very functional either way.

Sturdy bed looks good

Looks fantastic. Sturdy once the rails are put on but without the bunks are very flimsy. Lost a star for the amount of effort to assemble - +++ screws and bolts! Set aside a few hours.

Great bed! Looks great and very functional

Took 5hrs to build but worth it to see the look on our daughters face! The gap around the edges of the mattress (per other reviews) is actually super helpful when trying to make the beds (bunks are naturally trickier to make!) The drawers are okay but free rolling around under there and I think I would have preferred fixed if that’s a thing. The drawers were easy to build.
