Reason for buying and described as machine washable but label on rug clearly states not machine washable- spot clean only. Have yet to try and fit it in the washing machine to test this out! Hence 4 stars not 5. Looks nice in my parents lounge in front of their chairs as a 'less of a trip hazard' solution to individual bathmat sized rugs they had to protect the carpet.
