I had intended to use it as an outdoor rug, but decided it suited my lounge. It has a little bit of a jute smell but otherwise great. You will need a non-slip mat underneath if it's on floorboards.

As far as jute rugs go, this is the best I've had so far. The design with the white accents and individually crafted squares means that it doesn't have the dirty look of so many similar rugs. 4 stars because I'm not sure of the longevity and it also requires some non slip matting underneath.
