Feature light. I had a difficult time finding a light for my master bedroom, the only light outlet was in the middle of the wall above the bed. I settled on this light for its generous size and ability to hold its own as a feature light. I was not disappointed it works perfectly in the space. Very soft mood lighting as well, perfect to wind down before bed.
