Mina Mina Jukurrpa II Canvas Art Print - Bright and almost playful in appearance, this Aboriginal artwork piece features a mosaic of concentric circles in a candy-toned colour palette of pastel pink, blue, yellow and peach.
This Aboriginal artwork depicts the story of the women that danced in celebrations of the 'mulju' (Summer rains) at the Mina Mina, a very important women's Dreaming site in the Northern Territory of Australia, while collecting 'karlangu' (digging sticks).
Their journey took them to far lands across the Northern Territory - from the west to the east of Yuendumu - creating many places as they went, while dancing, digging and collecting many ceremonial elements, such as 'parraja' carrying vessels made from 'ngalyipi', the snake vine that grows on the desert oak tree known as 'kurrkara'. The Napangardi women embraced the opportunity to be with one another, and when they stopped, they delighted in bush tucker from the area, like the delicious desert truffle 'jintiparnta'. The Dreaming track eventually took them far beyond Warlpiri country, into Queensland.
In Warlpiri paintings, traditional iconography is used to represent the Jukurrpa and other elements. In many paintings of this Jukurrpa, sinuous lines are used to represent the 'ngalyipi' (snake vine). Concentric circles are often used to represent the 'jintiparnta' (desert truffles) that the women have collected, while straight lines can be used to depict the 'karlangu' (digging sticks).

Reviews
Beautiful print to hang on the wall!
A fabulous piece. A touch pinker than I thought it would be but I can live with it.
This print brings so much colour into my very neutral room. Worth every single penny and such a statement piece! The shipping and delivery was quick and seamless. Just another reason I love purchasing from Temple and Webster!
Beautiful piece of art. Hangs beautifully. Quality frame and construction. Love it!
Love the colours
Beautiful print! The framing is top quality too. Worth noting that the colour on the print is less intense than depicted online, which I actually prefer!
Love this painting, looks great!!
Love this! It brightens up the room which was otherwise bland. The hanging joins on the back weren’t attached evenly which made it a little tricker to hang, but besides that I really love it!
looks amazing on our wall.
Quick Delivery Time
Look great and arrived quickly!
Gorgeous - absolutely perfect -little larger than I realised but better - were bought for a large office so wont get lost in it. Bought six styles all up. I want one for me now..
Lovely piece , reasonably priced for size It a present, she hasn’t opened it yet, sure she’ll live it
Beautiful piece. It's worth noting that the canvas print is much lighter than what you see online, especially the deeper colours.
