The lampshade is as nice as in the photo, but I think the cord could be made of a different material.

Nice, sturdy lamp. The cord has a material outer, like older-style lamps, instead of the usual rubber-like coating. The cord is stiff and is hard to straighten to place the on/off switch in a convenient position. The lamps were delivered fairly quickly but sadly were encased in large blocks of polystyrene.
