The height of the shelves does not fit a majority of small children's novels which are standard size. You can see from the photo attached that most of his books have been laid horizontal and it's not how a bookshelf should look. It is extremely disappointing. We have bought a lot of our furniture from T&W and always very happy with the quality. This is also a sturdy, quality piece of furniture that was easy to assemble but the size of the shelves is what we have an issue with.
