Eden Platform Bed

I am giving this 3 stars because while the bed is standing, the process to get there was a nightmare and the sizing is off. The biggest issue is the assembly manual. Step 8 instructs you to slide in the slats, and then screw them in. However, by the time you reach Step 8, the frame is already fully constructed. It is physically impossible to slide the slats in at this stage. To follow the instructions, you have to disassemble the frame and go all the way back to Step 1. The build already takes a long time, and having to undo your effort at the very end is incredibly frustrating. Furthermore, the sizing is incorrect for a standard Double. The frame needs to be about 3.5cm wider; my mattress spills over the sides unless I manually tuck it in(which cant be good for the mattress long term I imagine). Conversely, the frame is too long - there is a 3-inch gap at the foot of the bed that sticks out beyond the mattress. It's a shame because otherwise it's a good looking bed.

A nice looking sturdy double bed frame. Grey colour is true to listing. Assembly was very fiddly & tedious but I managed to do it myself with a lot of patience. Just needed an extra person for the bed head to hold that in place while securing it in. I chose to redo some pre-done screws in the frame to straighten them. Slats unfortunately have to be screwed into place with this bed frame (would be easier if they had velcro to secure). There were no pre-drilled holes for this but the wood was soft enough to screw them in by hand (a drill would be quicker). I just screwed in every third slat for ease & once the mattress is on there doesn't seem to be any movement. The thinner rod at the end of the bed isn't strong & rolls around in its socket. It definitely wouldn't take any weight on it but then that's not it's purpose, it's just a nice decorative feature. Bed head is a good height & doesn't get lost with my high mattress & pillows & is just stable enough for leaning against. It fits fine in my small 3mx3m bedroom. I chose this frame for it's under bed height (min 20cms) & the mattress sits within the frame so I don't have to worry about it slipping around. It had a strong manufactured wood smell but that's disappearing with time. There's no movement or creaking (so far). All up, I'm happy with this bed frame purchase. Great product way to put together and easy to take apart. Already moved it once with no problems at all!

Value for money, sturdy and easy to assemble by myself.

Once finally set up the frame itself looks OK but very quickly noticed a lot of weak parts of the design. Loose screws, cheap slats, broken wood thats too soff, and bad balance. The creaking sounds every movement eventually did it for me. The frame is hugely disappointing and has been taken apart and now lives in storage till it gets taken away

This is not a standard double sized bed. It is longer by atleast 15cm, leaving a big gap. Pretty disappointed with this purchase.
