Sheri, a proud Bidjara woman & contemporary Aboriginal artist, shares her culture, experiences, & hopes for healing our history through her knowledge & stories. She embarked on her artistic journey as a means of connecting with her culture & soon realized its meditative & spiritual benefits. She calls her artwork 'bigi nagala,' which means 'I am dreaming' in Bidjara. Her land, spanning south-west Queensland, is home to substantial Indigenous cultural heritage, healing places, undisturbed natural bushland, lagoons, wildlife, & ancient waterways. Sheri feels a profound connection to her Aboriginal heritage, the earth, country, & spirit. She considers it a privilege to share her stories & culture through her artwork.
