Buy this topper to help protect your mattress from spills etc don't imagine that it is going to make a hard mattress feel much softer. This mattress topper is like sleeping on a thin quilt which is easily squished flat by the weight of your body. The filling is also a bit lumpy. If your mattress was really hard it is still going to be hard. A good point is that the skirt was generously large enough to fit over our mattress which is thicker than usual. Having used this topper for several weeks now I can't understand what all the review comments about it being like sleeping on a cloud were about.

I purchased this to extend the life of our mattress while we are on a house building budget. It’s made our mattress feel new again. I suggest after you first wash it let it air dry with a little bit of sun so it fluffs up.
