We got the pink for our pink obsessed daughter! Very thick melamine but perfect size for kids and very strong. Have dropped them several times on tiles and no issues. It says you can microwave carefully and we've found 30 seconds is the max on about 80% power before the cup gets too hot to hold. Dishwasher so far doesn't have an effect on the colour either.
