Strong Chemical Smell – Possibly Unsafe and Not Up to Australian Standards I purchased this double bed frame for our guest room, but unfortunately, it has been a huge disappointment. Upon opening the package, we were hit with a very strong chemical and paint smell that immediately raised concerns about formaldehyde or other harmful substances. Despite keeping the room well-ventilated for over two weeks, the odor remains intense and unpleasant. At this point, the guest room is completely uninhabitable, and we are unable to use the space as intended. I’m seriously concerned about whether this product meets Australian safety and environmental standards, especially in terms of VOC (volatile organic compounds) emissions and formaldehyde levels. There was no clear labeling or certification provided with the product to confirm compliance. Overall, this has been a very disappointing and worrying purchase. I would not recommend this product to anyone, especially families with children or anyone sensitive to chemicals.

Looks good and once setup it is very sturdy. We got this for our son for his first bed. I will say a drill is recommended and wood glue for the dowels which I had at home. If you don't have a drill it will take a lot longer to setup.

Great bed. Very solid, no creaks (as the problem with my last one) Minor headache, it took a long time to put together. But thankfully we won’t be dismantling it anytime soon. I also should’ve looked more carefully at the pictures, the drawers are on wheels and just sit under the bed not attached to the frame - this is on me, I should’ve looked more careful but nonetheless, the drawers are big and have no problem rolling on carpet. I can't fully review this product yet as we are still in the process of putting it together. Generally beds we have bought are an easy, one person job to assemble but this is not that.
