The pasta bowls are great size and the black makes the food stand out. I like how it displays the food - like in a restaurant. However the finish is quite glossy rather than mat. The swirling patterns do not continue on the sides of the plate giving a bit of a disjointed look.. the plates look nicer with food in them. I like how this styles well with the contrasting white plates.

Beautiful plates to use for pasta. Very well designed. Warm black colour is very pleasing and the plates don't drain the heat from food. Not crazy about the pattern in the bottom of the plate, but not a major issue since you can't see it until you finish eating.
