Banjo 4 Tier Storage Bookcase

Overall, this bookcase looks really good once assembled. The design is attractive and for the price, it has a strong visual impact. However, the quality of some components was disappointing. Several boards arrived chipped, some of the shelving poles were splintered and the right cupboard board was not pre-cut properly, resulting in a visible gap once assembled. These alignment and finish issues detract from what could otherwise be a really great bookshelf. While the bookcase looks good and is well priced, the quality control on certain parts, particularly the chipped and misaligned pieces, falls short of expectations.

A really lovely shelving display, only complaint is the lack of handles on the doors, I have to stick some tape on the doors to be able to open them.

Using this in place of a bedside table as we live in an extremely small apartment and need to make better use of vertical space. Item is exactly as pictured and described. Great quality. We like it so much we’re getting a second one.

Looks decent but the doors are a bit difficult to put on. I bought the matching shelves too.

love it, holds more books than i was expecting

Easy to put together, i would recomend building the bottom cupboard first and than putting it in posistion and putting the shelves on then for a easier build. Looks good in the space too and well spaced shelves

Great storage, solid product

I was pleased it was made from reasonably sturdy materials but I thought the cutting and drilling could have been done with more accuracy so it fit together better. Assembling it was at a medium level of difficulty. Looks good, works reasonably well

Looks pretty but the doors are a nightmare. There’s a strong magnet holding them shut PLUS the hinges are spring loaded, so the only way to open the doors is to prise them open with a screwdriver or another thin metal object - especially since it doesn’t have door handles and the gap between the doors is waaaay too thin to put your fingers in and get a grip of the door frame. Prising the door open also means damaging the door itself, so minutes after assembling it, the doors are already scratched

Love this storage unit. Perfect for my small kitchen because now I have a spot to put all my appliances and extra plates. The smooth lines and simple design make it work with most aesthetics. The whole Banjo range is underrated - even as a bestseller.

Great shelf. Using one in my son’s room for his books. Bought this for the lounge room. The bottom shelf is handy. The doors don’t shut as smoothly as I’d like but it’s fine.

Great quality timber for the price. The doors were a bit hard to align but we got there! We really appreciated the polystyrene- free packaging on this.

Terrific unique design shelving system. Very open so doesn’t make the room look cluttered. Easy enough to assemble & surprisingly strong.

We really love this bookcase. It’s sturdy, and the wood feels high quality, the bottom cupboards are useful for concealed extra storage. The only reason for giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that building the storage compartment is a bit tricky as the instructions are not very clear. The door needs to be screwed on in the oval shaped hole (at the back of the hinge) and hinges are adjustable, so you need to fiddle with the screws to get the doors to sit flush. Apart from that, the rest was easy to assemble!

I love the design. It looks more expensive than it is. I also purchased the Banjo 3 Tier Long Bookshelf to sit along side this. The assembly instructions are pretty easy to follow and the cabinet feels sturdy once put together. Another reviewer mentioned that the doors didn’t quite align but I was able to correct this by placing the screws through the second hole of the hinge (rather than the first, as per the instructions) which brought the doors into alignment.

The shelving is great, really love the look. However, when we put it together the magnetic hinges didn’t quite align making the doors crooked and the magnetic clasp seems slightly faulty, though not enough to return.
