I am a novice when it comes to wool rugs. Just so you know, the rug is not 100% wool - to be pedantic the label on the rug says "90% wool, 10% cotton". Nevertheless, unbeatable price for a wool rug right? I'm not sure if it's because it is not the best quality or if all wool rugs do this, but this thing sheds an insane amount. I think I have lost half the rug fibres in the couple of months I have had it. Each time I vacuum the rug, the entire canister of my large vacuum is packed full. The rug is yet to look bald or thinning anywhere though. I bought the red rug and besides the insane shedding, I am happy with it. The rug IS beautiful. You cannot see from the photos online but the rug is not all one height - in between each colour section and the petals of the flowers there is a very thin border of short fibres, which makes the colour sections and the petals "pop" more and gives the rug a 3D effect. I have been enjoying laying on the rug and running my hand over the pile. I wonder who sat there tufting the rug and why it is so cheap. This rug really makes my house feel like a home.
