As natural teak wood is exposed to the elements, it gradually changes colour from golden to a silver-grey patina, which is considered finely aged outdoor teak wood; this is normal & for some it is the preferred look; if no treatment is applied, this silver-grey patina will deteriorate to a dark-grey & greenish colour, which may become less attractive; the furniture is supplied in a raw state with no treatments applied; we recommend treating your new teak wood furniture against spills, stains & weather before use; teak wood goes through a settling process as it acclimatises to local climatic conditions; during this process, small cracks may appear because of expansion & contraction, which is normal, & does not affect the structure of the product
