Bought this stool for a newly completed minimalist style kitchen renovation with mostly matt surfaces. It is a lovely solid, heavy stool with a semi gloss lacquered finish. The seat is wide and comfy and overall feels good quality. It has a hand made rustic type feel and while it’s lovely, but didn’t quite match what I was looking for. I have ended up returning it, but I think if the paint was a little less glossy I would have kept it. If you like this stool, I would certainly recommend you buy it.
