Absolutely love this chess set. Initially I was looking for a larger board with wooden pieces, but this is not only a better price, but perfect both as an ornament and a working chess set. I did hesitate a little because the pieces seemed so shiny in the marketing images. I thought that they might be lightweight and "plasticky"....I am very happy to be wrong, this is a quality item and the pieces are a great size and decent weight. I am so pleased that I went ahead and ordered.
