I love it when things are both functional and ornamental. I seem to have accumulated a fair bit of dark timber furniture over the last few years. I purchased this timepiece to add to the bookshelf in my room. It doesn't chime, doesn't tick, doesn't whir or do anything to add to the white noise - it does a pretty good job of telling the time though. Simple, aesthetically pleasing and functional. Job done no fuss.
