Tempered glass panels
Tempered glass is made by heating glass up to 600°C then rapidly cooling it with high-pressure air in a procedure known as quenching. This causes the glass to go into compression, making it stronger and much less breakable than regular glass.

With an ingress protection rating of IP44, this wall light has good resistance to the weather. The protection level includes resistance to sprays of water from all directions, as well as from things like flying insects.
