Hensley 7 Shelf Wardrobe

I know that it's a flat pack, but it's very flimsy because off the design. It's fine for a cheap, short term alternative. But it won't last long. For the price, I'm happy with it though. Looks great and easy to assemble.

This product looks great at first but after a week i was searching my sons room for a fishy smell, which i then realised was this cupboard. It absolutely stinks, his clothes smell fishy. I have to now buy a new cupboard to replace this one . Also, screws are already coming out, a layer of the veneer of one of the shelves has peeled. I got this built buy a carpenter that did an amazing job putting it together. My other wooden furniture i bought from T&W omit unpleasant smells as well. Really disappointed i have to say as i usually absolutely love T&W.

This wardrobe is decent for the price, though there are a few drawbacks. Assembly was a bit confusing, and the faux wood has a persistent smell that doesn’t quite go away. The door feels thin and a bit cheap, but once assembled, it’s stable and functional enough. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option and don’t mind a few quirks, it does the job!

easy to read instructions however a few issues I had with assembly; 1st the pre-drilled guide holes on the far left panel of the wardrobe were misaligned and the screws ended up coming out slightly and piercing through to the exterior 2nd was the top piece was drilled backwards causing the guide holes for the backing panel being at the front of the wardrobe, flipping the piece would not have solved the issue so the back panel to prevent things from sliding behind is only secured to the metal frame 3rd the metal frame itself was slightly bent out of shape making it significantly more difficult to screw the screws into the unit 4th the screws that were provided to screw in the hinges were far to wide to be able to be used in such a small space, from the supply images it looked like they were supposed to be small flat top screws but was provided wider round topped ones, i had to use other screws i had on hand.

Wardrobe is less sturdy than I'd like, and the hanging rail is VERY thin, I can see why it only holds 10kgs. Rail is maybe 1-1.5cm diameter and sits in a U-shaped bracket, rather than being screwed into the wardrobe itself. Also had assembly issues- some screws could stand to be longer so they actually hold in the wood instead of pulling out, and some screws in the frame did not line up with the holes in the wood, making the wardrobe difficult to put together. Possible the wood expanded in the heat or something? But poor design. The shelves themselves are sturdy though, and put together the thing looks quite good. If you want it for the shelves, get it- if you want it for the hanging rail, don't bother.

Straight forward assembly, although some holes were not placed correctly and I had to drill some new holes. Of note is the shelves are screwed in only and there is no steel bar under to support the 5 upper shelves. Its purpose is in a kids room and provides ample storage. Nice purchase.

The wardrobe smells like fish. My son's room stinks when I walk in and his clothes he keeps in the wardrobe stink too. I've emptied it out and had it out in the open air twice but it's not helped. It's a shame because other than that, the wardrobe suits perfectly.

Piece of garbage! Basically made from cardboard (not even the usual particle board you’d expect from flat pack). Half the screw were missing and the ones that came were rusty and in a mix bag. Instructions were useless! None of the parts were numbered and nothing matched the picture exactly. Had to buy spare parts and glue it together and it still fell apart when we had to move it into the bedroom. Would have returned it, but it was too much of a hassle! Don’t waste your money. Usually love T&W - not happy this time!

Very thin mdf sheets and finished product feels quite flimsy. Light weight and easy to topple on a carpeted floor. Definitely used the wall bracing. Provided internal hanger rail was too long to even fit inside the wardrobe. Will need a hacksaw to take off 10mm.

I like the look of the finished project. However, there were a few issues: it was not easy to put together, the wrong hinges came in the packaging, the door was difficult to put on and it is not particularly sturdy (thankfully it is in our guest bedroom and not our main wardrobe).
