Its a metal frame I guess. I was under the impression there was inbuilt led lighting (which would add to the gamer theme) but it does not. Major disappointment. If I had realised, I would not have purchased it (although we will add out own led now that we have it). It wasnt too difficult to set up however the allen key screws in some places made for a really hard fit and the bed slats arent ideal. Will bed a mission when we need to dismantle. Bed is slightly noisy. /creaky. Delivery was also quite delayed (which is not my normal experience with TNW). Maybe once the tv is attached to the stand, it might end up being a little more impressive but otherwise, very underwhelming.
