The wood on the base of each of these pieces is a different colour to the wood used in the main part of the furniture and the main colour is way lighter than I expected. The drawers took 4 hours to put together - SO many pieces! Wouldn't recommend this product but it looks fine now that it's up and now we've got other furniture around them
